By accessing or using Defendabot, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
Defendabot is a software-as-a-service application that helps individuals organize documents, build timelines, and prepare materials related to legal proceedings. The Service is a document organization and productivity tool — it is not a legal service and does not provide legal advice.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using Defendabot, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
You retain full ownership of all documents, data, and content you upload to Defendabot ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service. We will never sell, share, or use Your Content to train AI models. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload any materials you add to the Service.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use the Service to store or transmit material that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes any third party's rights. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in the currency of your jurisdiction (CAD for Canadian users, USD for US users). You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Founding member discounts are applied for the lifetime of your account as long as it remains active.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your particular legal situation. We are not responsible for the outcome of any legal proceeding in which you use materials prepared with Defendabot.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EvoTechnica Inc.'s total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the Service. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
